I've waited for quite a while for diesels to become available in my state (MA) and now that they seem to be on the way, I'm somewhat frustrated. With sky-high diesel prices, the benefit of the added mpg seems to have been eliminated. In conservation conscious Europe, countries actually subsidize diesel fuel, making it 1/3 cheaper than unleaded regular leading to 60% of all cars on the road being diesels. What morons our politicians are.
