Hey Mr. Fun, good questions. This could happen to anyone and its likely to be an issue here in N. America as diesel's emerge in rental car fleets. Try www.tdiclub.com its a popular TDI site.

The gas in such a mixture has to burn right? Compression ignites the diesel and along so does the gas...em?? Maybe raw gas??? dunno.
