Here in Alpharetta, Georgia, (N. Atlanta area), today, it was $3.43 for premium gas and $3.89 for Diesel. This was at a high volume Shell station. In the past few weeks Diesel has been trending significantly higher in price. Go figure.
After filling up with 13.3 gallons of diesel, this MY06 VW Jetta 1.9 TDI/DSG, will drive around the area for 500+ miles before needing to be fueled again. The math works out to the 37 to 38mpg range in the city. Respectable.

The TDI's healthy torque curve driven through a DSG gearbox makes for a spirited ride both around town and on the highway. The new TDI 2.0 common rail arrangement will be a big step forward in performance over the 1.9TDI and the 3.0 V6 TDI CR is the bomb! Make my Audi 3.0TDI silver metallic w/onyx leather.

    Cheers, MS
