So a player that plays every regular season game for the winning team, but gets traded at the trade deadline would still get his name on the Cup. In fact, it is possible to play for the losing team in the Cup Finals and get your name on the Cup in that manner. The key is at least 1 game in the Finals OR play at least 41 regular season games.

I heard it was 40 during the broadcast and I thought they were wrong. I am pretty sure the 41 game minimum comes from it being at least half of the regular season games.
