Always a treat to hit a CLNW track day around this time of year. Organizer Mark Viskov typically coordinates the August event in front of a vintage race and/or ABFM in Portland and the turn out for test-and-tune is a great addition to the fine Lotus, etc. hardware that shows up.
I posted several of these pics to my cohorts in the PNW forum, but figured some of you guys might appreciate some of this stuff too. Definitely my favorite group to run with for the variety of vehicles and overall event org. Some vintage stuff The event organizer (captured in this picture on the walkie-talkie strolling toward the hot pit area) is a Formula Ford engine builder and this weekend's races featured a tribute to Formula Ford, so it was a big event for him and there were a bunch of open wheel momentum cars around the paddock. Some not-so-vintage stuff Local legend DP1 prototype: Custom V8 Atom from the same local builder: My personal favorite Paddock neighbor's AWD Mazda 323 GTX rally screaming turbo homologation econobox. A video clip for those of you with the patience to get here: Link ==> Elise spins and GTX passes And a few more pics here: |
