BMW Club of Quebec at both Tremblant and Calabogie as an instructor for both clubs and I find them very similar to the ACNA's NEQ, North Atlantic, Golden Gate and Canadian Chapter clubs. I find that a lot of BMW instructors come and help the ACNA's event at Tremblant in the fall.
Both are very safety minded (priority), both will teach you the same driving techniques, both will show you the "safe line" but as you get more advance and you become better you can always ask for an instructor and get "better coaching". Now perhaps the Audi folks (usually older) are more social and less let's go kick a$$ on the track but the racer boy image of the BMW clan is mainly due to the fact that they have a "Club Racing series" which is great btw! Now this weekend's event was also a Club Racing event and I doubt very much that the "racers" were also instructors with the school. With 3 practices and 3 races in 3 days their race schedule was pretty full leaving I'm sure very little time to be an instructor for the school portion of the event (but I could be wrong). In any case both schools will tell you that they are a "High Performance Driving School" and not a "race School". As for Audi drivers and their cars not being up to the task on the track... Well I think I disproved that notion this weekend. LOL.
