There is video of a different appearance that day at which she made the same remarks in substance, but the "hardly ever wrong" comment wasn't made there. If you have a link to video of those comments I'd appreciate seeing it. I was under the impression from published reports that it was not covered by television.
In context, it makes no sense that the phrase "hardly ever wrong" was sarcastic, since as I noted before she was citing and relying upon the NYT story as her source. This is why I'd welcome seeing video of it.
"Well, I was reading my copy of today's New York Times and I was interested to read about Barack's friends from Chicago," Ms. Palin said at the fund-raiser in Englewood, Colo. "Turns out one of Barack's earliest supporters is a man who, according to The New York Times, and they are hardly ever wrong, was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol.' Wow."----------------------------------------
