    if that's his point he's wrong. Frank et al pushed Fannie/Freddie to buy more risky loans

    from sub-prime borrowers. If F/F was not there to back-stop the loans firms like Countrywide would not have been making them.

    Clearly many/most of the mortgage originators were slime balls...countrywide even more than most.

    However the structural regulation related to F/F made it a lot easier to do.
