I've also played a bit with the new profiles, mostly with the Canon Camera Standard beta 1

One problem with old ACR profiles is that the red component can look pretty bad. Many times reds look very pinkish or orange and custom camera profiles are needed to correct this problem. A quick remedy is to correct Red Primary Hue to -15 and Saturation +15 and fine-tune from there.

This new profile corrects the pink/orange hue pretty well. Reds now look proper reds, not a mix of yellow/pink/orange. Personally I think this new profile improves skin tones, it makes people look healthier :)

However, the new red is too strong in my opinion. In ACR I've set the Red Saturation at -10. Also blues are weaker with this new profile and need some tweaking to get the old punch back. Hue 5, Saturation 10 helps a bit.

There's more contrast with the new profile default settings but also better highlights. I get a lot less burned-out highs with the new profile.

Have to do a bit more experimenting to get the best out of these new profiles, but I especially like the new, punchier reds. I just couldn't get them right with 4.3 or 4.4. Obviously a custom camera profile is the best solution for all versions of ACR.

    One example here:

ACR 4.4: Notice the strong pink/orange color cast. Definitely not what I was seeing.

ACR 4.5 Camera Standard beta 1: Reds look a lot deeper here. Much more closer to what I was seeing.
