Maybe if Canon focused on the DSLR world instead of printers and video cameras, they'd not have fallen behind? ; )

Or created DSLR's with "advanced auto-focus" that doesn't work. Hell, they might have even got the mirror boxes level, if they weren't trying to make a portable 4x6" glossy printer.
