I had a 2000 A6 that was getting a little long in the tooth, so I made the move to the 2006 Passat 2.0 just over a year ago. Every car is a set of trade-offs, but I really like the Passat. Sure, I wish I had 4Motion/Quattro, but the Passat sort of feels like an "A5". It's a great cross-section of good design, nice gas mileage and reasonable performance for about $30k. I hope this forum can take off, as the AW readers seem to be more in tune with the "driver" mentality than VWVortex. Keep it going!
