Hi.
A friend of mine have a 1994 VW passat 1,9TDi (90 HK).
Sometimes (very seldom) the car goes very bad and jerky. The fault is seldom showing up, but when it does, it stays more then some seconds (sometimes the whole day). I measured the engine 003 with VAG-COM, and there is something I have never seen before:
At idle the specified MAF is approx. 330 - 350 mg/stroke. Actual MAF is well above this, between 440 and 550 mg/stroke.
In 3rd gear, full throttle and 3000 rpm both the specified and actual MAF "locks" at 847.9 mg/stroke. It goes to 847.9 mg/stroke as soons as we floor the pedal, and goes back from the "freezed numbers" as soons as we decrease the throttle again.
Any ideas ?
On my 1.9TDi (115HK PD) we can test the turbo setup by doing basic settings on channel 011. But this procedure does not work on the above mentioned car. Is there any similar procedure ?
