i bought an 01 used 1.8t beetle about a year ago from a dealer and i always noticed the front mesh like around the fog lights seemed to be weird and falling apart. come to find out, the guy that owned it before me had place like chicken wire meshing over the factory mesh. so im taking off the chicken wire and the top half is fine and the factory mesh looked so much better.. then when i took of the bottom half of the chicken wire i find a good sized hole in factory mesh which the previous owner was obviously trying to cover up. anyway i need to buy new mesh, the factory kind not chicken wire. does anyone know where i can look or how much it will be?? thanks :)
