sudden increased oil usage compared to what its been using the last 52000 of its 92000 miles we had it when we bought it cpo vw pre - owned three years ago,its been using appx 1qt per 2000 miles no smoke or leaks ,tail pipes are clean and dry too,coolant level is same and not contaminated,only thing that was done different since is timing belt repalcement w/water pump and tensioner and other related items now its seems to be using that amount in APPX 600 MILES ,just recently after the TB ,that wouldnt effect it would it ,if it was a ring problem would have beeen doing it all along
where is it going .
other strange thing is when i checked at the tailpipes when engine was at idle ,i felt back pressure,but when engine was reving ,no back pressure felt at all at the pipes.whats up w/that
