I drove my wife's GTI the other day... Driving slowly in a parking lot with the window open, I could a hear a jingle sound coming from the front left wheel.

The other day when I had the car on a jack rotating the tires, I was able to reproduce the sound, turning the wheel slowly by hand.

It's definitely nothing to with the break shield... It sounds like it's coming from inside the rubber boot where the axle shaft meets the wheel. As I turned the wheel, it periodically makes the sound of loose change tumbling in that general area.

Any ideas?

I didn't check to see if the passenger side has the same issue.
