I don't know if it's the same as the Audis, but I did a '01 Audi A4 today...

Put the key you don't want to program into the ignition, and turn it one click forward.
Close driver's door, and put the key you want to program into the driver's door lock (in your case, put your other normal key in there).
Turn the key in the door to lock the door.
Press the "unlock" button on the fob of the key you want to program. Hazard lights will flash once.
Turn key in door to unlock door. Then turn again to lock door. Then remove key.
Now try your remote to unlock the door. This worked for me today.
