Does anyone have experience with the factory roof racks on the Jetta?

I bought the base load bars used from someone, and they fit my jetta perfectly. I've been trying to find some fork mounted bike racks, but for some reason, the dealers around here say they are only available for Toureg.

Why is this? Do they not fit the jetta properly?
