I have a 1995 Jetta that will start if I put power directly to the solenoid with the key on.
I get no power to the solenoid with the key in the start position. All fuses are good. The only repair info I have is a Chilton manual. So in other words, I have no info. My question is this: Is there a starter or ignition relay, other than the starter mounted solenoid, or should I consider replacing the ignition switch. I should also mention that the emergency flasher stays on all the time for some reason, so I unplugged the flasher itself. Since the emergency flasher switch is on top of the column, I figured it was worth a mention. Thanks. |
