I loved my now sold sierra-red 1985 VW GTI "SunBurst" which for $2,400.00USA gave me 50,000+ miles with a resale of $1,500.00USA.

The service which I found for the car was also excellent with the exception of some delayed brake-work which was still a good price...

Heinz Garage in Windsor (Ontario) Canada gave a reasonable diagnostic and The Parts Place For Bugs in Oakland County of Michigan of The United States Of America had the parts and if not the dealership or Napa Auto Parts did ...

The dealership I went to also replaced the radio which had am-stereo-cassette...

As for replacing the worn aluminium-rims I went to 14 Mile Road & Crooks for a replacement-package with 4-bolt-rims & tires which were "sporty" and got noticed with the black-lacquer-inlayed-paint normally for Toyota Trucks for about $350.00USA...

I kept the good-old-rims as spares with a floor-jack in the very-back...

The oxygen-sensor had to be re-set twice that I remember with one occurrance in Canada and with the other in The USA...

I used the car to work building cement-swimming-pools with a crew and by the time I sold the car the odometer had frozen-up from cement-dust...

I had a new-keyed-ignition-set in the glove-box at sale time so "what-the-hey"...

I sold the car with the a bent-frame and an engine begging for a valve-job if not a whole-new-engine and less the correct lug-bolts which I hesitated to change...

"SunBurst" went around the corner on two-wheels on it's sale-test-ride and the guy's hands were shaking when he signed for the deposit at my paper-mother's apartment...

I bought it like I sold it in The Trading Times of Michigan with a photo "as is" with a sale-price recommended by the photographer...

I threw in an extra $100.00USA to my seller for his oceanography-education...

I promised I would baby it and I am glad gave him the money...

Oh well!

The hard-core repairs were minor with a bent-drive-shaft and a new elbow...

Sincerely,

Emperor Jedi Sir Christopher Alan Green Esquire/CoCo Chanel (Empress),
Intergalactic Vampire Master Accountant/Hawthorne Boarding School Coptic Nurse.
