Box came in this outter bag
Nicely packaged Pretty nice quality of materials IMO All the ports you need, only thing that you could consider missing is S/PDIF and only 1 USB instead of 2 Watch for scale Not too much to an NMT. Full size or laptop sized SATA drive capable. There is no internal fan however, so things get hot, especially in a closed rack. You can use an external HDD via the USB ports. Mesh openings on both sides like below. Everything else that comes included: Nice remote (good weight and button press, has that smooth textured like backing), power cord, power brick, nice HDMI cable, quality screws for HDDs, USB cable I'm unsure if I'll put in an HDD or not. Have t see how 1080p MKV/M2TS streams over my wifi, or maybe I'll finally use this as an excuse to run some CAT5e to my HT area from my office area. If I do add an internal HDD, it needs to be cooled. There is actually a fan header on the PCB to the left and jumper to set it for 5v or 12v output, you can see it in the picture above. Variety of options people have done, like so: I will probably get a small 30x10mm fan like in this picture even without using an HDD. The Sigma chipset that these NMT's use can get rather hot and people have had issues damaging their device. It's covered by a 1 year warranty but who wants to deal with that hassle? There are some 30mm fans out there that will be very quiet and move a small amount of CFM. Or get a higher CFM/noise one and use Zalman's cheapie fan speed regulator to throttle it down ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() _____________ |
