Either get it now or wait a little if you want a slightly better holiday price but there is no reason to wait a year because the technology isn't getting any better. most of the players these days have all the same exact blu-ray feature sets (BD-live, HD audio, etc..) and it comes down to build quality, looks and the few "extra" (non-blu-ray technology specific) features that a company might want to add just to be different (like SACD support, SDHD clot, 5-year warranty, etc...)
