my brother has a RF system at his house and he has to fing call the dealer to change anything to the system as he is not technical at all. I play IT tech with his PC remotely on the phone or when I visit occasionally (He lives in Rogers AR)..

Even if I had his system - I would still use a Harmony - with a IR repeater.
