Dynamic EQ is turned on by default afterwards but I'm reading it should be turned off for some concert DVDs.

Dynamic Volume isn't on by default, but can be adjusted on the fly from Day/Evening/Midnight.

Did the 4.0 firmware on the HD-A2 while I was at it and popped in NIN's BYIT.
