However, an ethernet port is a requirement of Profile 2.0, as the entire feature set consists of online interactivity. Since it can't connect to the internet. . .

By the same token, Profile 1.1 consists mostly of PIP features, which require a secondary video decoder. Since the S300 doesn't have one...

The firmware has been updated several times to speed up load times, improve BD-Java performance, and even add Dolby TrueHD decoding capability.
