When you mentioned about the Maggies I assumed you were talking about the big full-sized 3-ways. I hadn't seen these inexpensive wall-mounts before.
yeah the small maggies have no low bass. but I already have a sub (albeit older one) that could be employed. anyhow, I won't be doing anything for a at least few weeks, after our vacation is done (and paid for).
Compared to my speaker setup, the wall-mount Maggies throw a tremendous, lifelike soundstage, but at the cost of pinpoint imaging. whereas my setup present a constrained soundstage but precise, almost clinical imaging. 2-ways with large woofer drivers are known for beaming and poor off-axis response. I think I would welcome a change.
