    why did you replace the coils?

    Those coils are notorious for failure, but they won't cause your engine light to come on unless the car is misfiring. You would know if your car is misfiring. If it is misfiring check the plugs, get a VAG tool ($50) and plug it in. Then get an Audi repair manual (~$100) and see what the code means.
