Hi all.
Timing belt snapped on my 1999 A4 Avant petrol, automatic, while on Hol's in France. Cost a fortune to get family home and then car. Stripped and rebuilt myself, head skimmed and new valves etc. Now I can't get idle speed, engine starts and then stalls unless I hold the throttle. Checked and all sensors are in place, didn't touch throttle body or plug. I did remove battery to charge but checked with audi centre who told me that shouldn't make a difference. After shipping back from France and rebuilding myself (3 grand in the hole) I begrudge paying audi to run a diagnostics check. Any help appreciated.
