Car: 2000 a4 1.8tqm

Issue: Brakes work fine. When pedal is released there is a "hissing" noise like a vacuum leak. I cannot seem to locate the source of this noise nor can I find any reference using the seach feature.

Does anyone have an idea of what this could be and how to fix it?
